Several meta-analyses have tried to evaluate impact of purgative administration in Capsule Endoscopy (CE), even though results are contradictory. Our aim is to compare small bowel cleansing and diagnostic yield between 2 preparation protocols (group 1 G1: 2L PEG split-dose the night before plus simethicone versus group 2 G2: clear liquid diet) in Mirocam® CE system (IntroMedic, Seoul, Korea), since the vast majority of CE studies are on PillCam® (Medtronic, Yokneam, Israel) CE.
